The AC tune-up is $89 for a residential home. It works through a published checklist on the system, including electrical connections, the evaporator coil, the condensate drain, refrigerant level, compressor amperage draw, the blower motor and wheel, thermostat settings and a water clean of the condensing coil.
The Chill Club is the maintenance membership: $179 a year, and $99 for each additional unit at the same location. It covers a cooling tune-up in spring and a heating tune-up in fall, priority service, 10% off repairs, additions and cleans, no service call fee with a repair, a 2 year warranty on any parts replaced, and 100% of your most recent repair cost rebated toward a new AC system.
Yes, it is a specialty. Factory-built homes often run a single trunk line down a long floor plan, which starves the far bedrooms of air. The work covers equipment sized for elongated floor plans, added return air vents, duct sealing and moisture control. HUD Code homes built after June 1976, older mobile homes and modular homes each need a different approach.
