Heating installation in Tomball

Replacement and new heating systems sized to your house, from six brands, with a free estimate before you decide anything.

Chapter 01

A heater that fits the house it heats

Equipment that is too big for a house short-cycles: it blasts hot air, satisfies the thermostat in minutes, shuts off, and repeats all night. Equipment that is too small runs flat out and never quite gets there. Either way the comfort is wrong and the parts wear faster than they should, so the first job on any heating installation is sizing, and sizing starts with the house rather than with whatever box was there before.

The old unit tells the technician something, but not everything. Insulation changes, a room added over the years, duct runs that were modified by someone else, and a floor plan that has nothing in common with the house next door all change what the new system has to carry. Mr. Chill looks at the house, measures what needs measuring, and then talks through equipment that suits it.

Manufactured and modular homes need a particular eye here. The elongated floor plan puts the far bedrooms a long way from the equipment, and a single trunk of ductwork has to reach all of them. Mr. Chill has built a specialty around this, and the manufactured home page covers it in detail.

Out with the old unit, in with the new

An install starts with the old system coming out cleanly and the ground it stood on being checked. The new equipment is set level and connected to the existing ductwork, and the connections are looked at rather than assumed: the plenum where the air leaves the unit, the return where it comes back, the electrical supply and the wiring terminals.

Then the system is started and watched. The technician confirms the burner or heat strips come on as they should, checks the blower amperage and the supply voltage, and measures the air temperature rise so that the finished system can be compared with what the equipment is designed to deliver. Safeties get tested before he leaves, the same limit switch and safety lockout checks a repair call would include.

Customers who have had a new system put in write about the same things: the technician arrived on time, worked quickly, was courteous and knowledgeable, made sure everything was working before leaving, and left the area clean.

Chapter 03

Choosing a brand and paying for it

Mr. Chill installs and services Bosch, Trane, Mitsubishi Electric, Ruud, Carrier and Goodman. As a Mitsubishi Diamond Dealer, the company is also the one to ask about Mitsubishi Electric equipment. Estimates are free on top-of-the-line brands, so you can compare options at your own table before committing to anything.

Financing is available with approved credit, which spreads the cost of a new system across a payment you can plan around instead of a bill that lands all at once.

Once the system is in, it belongs on a maintenance plan. The Chill Club is $179 a year for a spring cooling visit and a fall heating visit, with priority service, 10% off repairs, no service call fee with a repair and a two-year warranty on any parts replaced. The Texas licence is TACLB27361E, and the crew has served Tomball and the surrounding towns for over 20 years.
