AC Repair in Tomball
NATE-certified technicians, all major brands, and a plain explanation of what your system is doing before you decide anything.
Chapter 01
The afternoon the air stops getting cold
Most Tomball air conditioner calls start the same way. The thermostat says 75, the house says 82, and the outdoor unit is either silent or humming without the fan turning. In July, with the condenser working against a hundred degrees of ambient heat, the parts that carry the load are the ones that go first.
A run capacitor weakens until the compressor or the fan motor cannot get started. A contactor pits and sticks. A refrigerant leak at a flare or a coil lets the charge sink until the evaporator ices over and airflow drops to a whisper. A clogged condensate drain trips the float switch and shuts the system off to protect your ceiling. Each one looks like "the AC is broken" from the couch, and each one has a different fix and a different price.

Measuring first, then explaining what we found
A Mr. Chill technician starts by measuring rather than guessing: supply voltage at the disconnect, amperage draw on the compressor and fan, capacitor reading against its rating, refrigerant pressures against what the system should be running, and a look at the coil and the drain. Those numbers separate a thirty minute repair from a failing compressor.
Then the technician tells you the conditions and your options in plain words, so you can decide with confidence. That is how the company describes its own approach, and it matters most when the answer is not the cheap one. Whether the unit is a Trane, Carrier, Goodman, Ruud, Bosch or Mitsubishi Electric, the technicians are NATE-certified and work on all major brands.
Mr. Chill is open Monday through Saturday, 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM, and closed Sunday. A Saturday breakdown in Tomball, Klein, Spring or Cypress is a call to (832) 698-4273, not a wait until Monday.
Chapter 03
Where a repair ends and a replacement begins
Every repair is a small vote on the age of the system. Replace a capacitor on a unit that is otherwise healthy and you have bought years. Replace a compressor on an old system and you may have bought a summer. A good technician will say which one you are looking at.
Chill Club members get 10% off repairs, no service call fee with a repair, and a 2 year warranty on any parts replaced. The part people remember is the last line: 100% of your most recent repair cost is rebated toward a new A/C system. If a repair turns out to be the final one on an aging unit, that money is not lost. It goes toward the replacement. The Chill Club is $179 a year, and you can read what else it includes on the AC maintenance page.
